Hakonechloa macra | Aureola Floral tape Be sure to deadhead toThis attractive grass is the variegated form of what is commonly known as Hakone grass or Japanese Forest grass. Its form is the same as our standard Hakonechloa macro, but the colouring of the plant is quite different. The leaves are a pale creamy yellow, with thin green stripes along the length. This plant is grown for its eye catching foliage. It is both long lived and tough and unlike many grasses, it is a lover of both shade and moist conditions.
